Understanding CTCL: Practical challenges of CTCL
Going for treatments over a long period of time may require you to adjust your work or personal responsibilities. You also may need to change your daily routines. Here are tips to help you complete your daily activities.
Asking for help
Ask for help from family members or friends. Think about asking them to:
- Prepare a meal or two that can be frozen and heated up at a later time
- Take your dog for a walk a few times a week
- Drive you to your medical appointments
- Pick up groceries for you when they go to the market
Hiring someone or finding a volunteer to help
Some health insurance plans will pay for people to come to your home to help with household chores. Also, many communities have volunteer
organizations that help people with cancer.
Getting help at home
Your doctor may be able to order visiting nurse services for you that may be covered by your health insurance.
